It can be a challenge to serve a dinner that pleases everyone. But for families whose day-to-day meal plan has to take food allergies into account, it can feel impossible. When my older sister was first diagnosed with a high gluten intolerance, my whole family shifted our lifestyle and eating habits. My mom, being the amazing chef that she is, loaded up on easy gluten-free dinner recipes for the family that we all genuinely loved. We started using gluten-free pancake mixes for breakfast, getting gluten-free snacks in our lunch boxes, and making cauliflower pizza crusts for dinner.

The key lesson in all of this was that if you do it right, eating a gluten-free diet doesn’t have to be bland or taste any less indulgent. Plus, when the whole family was eating gluten-free, my sister felt less like she was giving something up and more like we were all in it together.
